OILS

Oils heated to the smoke point are dangerous and carcinogenic. If you must use oil at high temps use grapeseed oil.

Olive: slows the onset of diabetes, prevents heart disease, and protects from certain cancers. It has been around since 12th century BC.

Grapeseed: high in vit E and other antioxidants, like Olive but it has a milder taste.

Flaxseed and Hemp are both high in Omega 3s but should not be heated. Flax is nutty and hemp is vegetably.

Polyunsaturated fats (EFA) – Omega 3 and Omega 6. Both help to lower cholesterol. It is critical to get the right balance. Body needs 2 or 3 times as much Omega 3 as Omega 6. Omega 3: benefits cell membranes and may reduce risk of cancer, storke and heart disease. It is an essential component of brain cells and can help prevent depression. We tend to get a lot of Omega 6 in our diet so we need to supplement Omega 3s. Flaxseed is a great Omega 3 source, also fish oils like cod, mackerel and salmon.

Essential fatty acids work by promoting hormone like protaglandins , which prevent excessive prostatic growth by preventing testosterone from binding to the prostate. EFAs are also excellent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agents. They help prevent infections of bladder by making sure it empties completely when one urinates. Residual urine is often results in infection. It can help to prevent having to wake up at night to urinate.

I recommend Udo's oils and eating lots of avocados, seeds, olive oil and nuts.
